TeacherActive is proud to be working with a children’s Additional Learning Needs school in the Presteigne, Powys area to look for a Assistant\’s who have expereince working in Care. This therapeutic school works with children and young people between the ages of 4 – 18, who have been diagnosed with, ASD (Autsim), EBD (Emotional Behavioural Difficulties) and SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health).
Our school provider adopts an ethos that is child focused, while understanding that children will thrive when they feel safe and secure. A focus on providing consistency and continuity, ensuring at all times that children’s wishes are heard and respected.
The successful Care Worker will have:
· Experience working with adults or young people in a care setting
· Experience supporting young people with challenging behaviours or trauma
· ‘Can-do’ attitude
· Flexibility with shifts
