MAINTENANCE ENGINEER – ELECTRICAL BIAS

AFTERNOON SHIFTS (14:00-22:00)

We are looking for a motivated maintenance engineer to join a market leading manufacturing company in the UK. You will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. You will be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within their operation. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers. The position will appeal to a strong engineer looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.

Role Description

  • Respond to machinery and equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance, ensuring that machinery is serviced, maintained and safe to use.
  • Promoting continuous improvement through regular review of machinery, systems, and processes.
  • Fault finding on PLC\’s and three phase electrics.
  • Installation of new equipment and project-based work as and when required.
  • Minimising downtime, ensuring production are updated on progress.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

Skills and Qualifications

  • City & Guilds level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
  • Experience with electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic machinery.
  • 18th edition wiring advantageous.
  • Manufacturing/Fenestration background would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrates a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Strong communication, teamwork.
  • Ability to work using own initiative.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Task planning and management skills
  • Must be flexible and willing to be on call out of hours.
  • Computer literate – Microsoft Office, ERP systems.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
  • Experience with welding and fabrication techniques.
