Maintenance Engineer Location: North Norfolk Salary: £49,000 – £51,000 per annum (£21.82 – £22.59/hour + ~£3,000 shift allowance) Shift Pattern: Rotating Days & Nights (42 hours per week) Positions Available: 1 The Role We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join an established engineering shift team within a highly automated, clean manufacturing environment. Working alongside Shift Engineering Leads and fellow engineers, you will be responsible for carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and production continuity. This role is electrically biased but requires strong mechanical capability. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown maintenance. Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime. Support shift engineers in maintaining safe and efficient plant operations. Work collaboratively with production teams to prioritise maintenance activity. Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety procedures. Accurately record maintenance activities and contribute to reliability improvements. Equipment & Systems You will work on a broad range of automated and process machinery, including: Conveyors and material handling systems Weighing, bagging, case packing and palletising equipment Robotic and automated handling systems Process and thermal equipment Typical Faults & Technical Exposure PLC fault-finding (I/O level) Sensors, relays, and control circuits Control panels and three-phase systems Inverters and motor control Hydraulics and pneumatics Mechanical components: bearings, belts, chains, motors Candidate Requirements Experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or production environment Electrical bias with solid mechanical fault-finding ability Engineering qualification at Level 3 or completion of a recognised apprenticeship Comfortable working rotating day and night shifts Experience within clean, high-volume production environments preferred Shift Pattern Rotating continental-style shifts including days and nights: Days: 06:45 – 19:15 Nights: 18:45 – 07:15 Package & Benefits £49,000 – £51,000 per annum Approx. £3,000 unsociable hours allowance Overtime paid at time and a quarter Pension scheme Life assurance Training and development opportunities Employee assistance programme Free on-site parking Why Apply?
