Job Description Summary
You will be responsible for supervising all logistics activities of the main wind turbine components within the Hub, including site transit, lifting activities, time management, mobilization/demobilization, to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
You will be part of the Project Management Office (PMO)—Marshalling Harbor department—in a cross-functional role, reporting directly to the Heavy Lift Package Manager. You will demonstrate excellent communication, proactivity, and logistical management skills. Leading a team of mechanical operators, you will oversee stevedoring, rigging, and load-out preparations.
The position is based at the Inverness project site, starting January 2026, with initial onsite training at Able Seaton. GE Vernova employees interested in rotation are welcome to apply. The work schedule involves a 14-day consecutive rotation, excluding travel, with a standard workweek from Monday to Friday for those based in Inverness or nearby.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead logistical activities to meet project and customer goals.
- Enforce high EHS standards.
- Monitor vessel berthing, arrivals, and departures.
- Coordinate with customs and shipping companies for supply chain efficiency.
- Ensure all EHS documentation is complete before operations.
- Conduct visual inspections and manage reports.
- Update IT systems with post-operation documentation.
- Prepare daily progress and weekly inventory reports.
- Manage reverse logistics and property tracking.
- Ensure availability of tooling, materials, PPE, and certifications.
- Advise on issues affecting EHS, commercial, or scheduling aspects.
- Support project planning for loadout of GE components.
- Coordinate daily and lookahead plans with subcontractors.
- Provide progress reports for internal review.
- Handle logistics-related complaints, risks, and opportunities.
