RSK Biocensus, part of RSK Group, is an award-winning CIEEM company. We are recruiting experienced and passionate Senior Ecological Consultants to join our growing UK ecology team. This role is permanent, with full-time and part-time work patterns available. It will be a hybrid role, offering flexible homeworking and office working in the following areas: Bristol, Cardiff, Coventry, East Anglia, Helsby, Leeds, South East.

We seek individuals to work with clients in these locations and surrounding areas. As a Senior Ecological Consultant at RSK Biocensus, you will be involved in delivering field surveys, assessments, tender and report writing, and project management on various nationwide and local projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and overseeing medium/large projects and tenders from start to finish.
  • Promoting RSK positively to clients and competitors through quality work.
  • Managing project finances, resources, subcontractors, risks, quality assurance, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining effective communication and client feedback.
  • Conducting fieldwork, including out-of-hours surveys and travel.
  • Overseeing site work and habitat management or creation under supervision.
  • Assisting with survey and research reports, including document reviews, statistical analyses, license applications, and reporting.

Person Specification

  • Degree in a relevant discipline or vocational qualification.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Species-specific personal licences are desirable.
  • Associate membership with CIEEM.
  • Adherence to CIEEM’s Code of Professional Conduct.
