Backup Administrator / Engineer | Financial Services | London (Hybrid)
Are you a backup expert looking to join a high-performing infrastructure team in a global financial services environment?
We’re working with a well-established financial institution that’s on the lookout for a Backup Administrator / Engineer to take ownership of their backup systems across UK and European operations.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring stability, scalability, and performance across enterprise backup environments, with a mix of BAU and project-based work.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing and maintaining backups using Veeam and IBM Spectrum Protect (TSM)
- Performing regular backup checks, lifecycle management, and capacity planning
- Supporting backups across Windows, Linux, and Solaris platforms
- Troubleshooting performance/stability issues and driving improvements
- Working closely with global teams and stakeholders across infrastructure & projects
What we’re looking for:
- Hands-on experience with Veeam and/or TSM (essential)
- Comfortable in a multi-platform environment (Windows, RHEL, Solaris)
- Scripting knowledge – PowerShell, Bash, or similar
- Knowledge of NetBackup is a bonus
- Willingness to travel occasionally (UK/NL/Global)
