Job Overview
Scopely is seeking a Build & Release Engineer to join our talented team in Ireland, Spain, Portugal, or the UK on a hybrid/remote basis. We are passionate about creating engaging mobile games and are developing an unannounced Strategy/MMO title. Join us to contribute to this exciting project.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and support for build and release processes related to Unity 3D games and CICD pipelines.
- Ensure the stability, security, and reliability of build pipelines supporting game development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate effective communication and stakeholder management.
- Develop automation tools to enhance reproducibility and development efficiency.
- Monitor, audit, and report on build systems, incorporating observability and alerts throughout the CICD lifecycle.
- Participate in code reviews and improve CICD pipelines and automation tools.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in build and release roles, especially for Unity 3D games, with a solid understanding of CI/CD best practices.
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
- Experience with observability tools like ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, and Datadog.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and build tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Maven, Gradle).
- Experience with Unity CI integrations and languages like Groovy is advantageous.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Terragrunt, or Packer.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, and container technologies like Docker, ECS, and EKS.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across platforms and understanding of networking and security.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps principles.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in fast-paced, agile environments.
