Exciting global software house producing innovative cloud tech is continuing to build its team and is looking for software developers (mid-level upwards) with a background in math, physics, 3D, or games.
* Can you demonstrate proven C++ or C# experience on commercial software development projects?
* This client encourages staff to bring ideas and supports research and development.
Role: Software engineer required to work on cutting-edge software products. You will work in a fully established and competent development team reporting to the development manager. The role requires someone with a mathematical/physics flair, from A’Levels, degree, or commercial games/3D/CAD development. It is a full-stack role.
Technical environment: C#, .Net, C++, .Net Core, SQL Server, T-SQL, DDD, AWS, MVVM/MVC, OpenGL, 3D graphics, CAD, maths, physics.
Other technologies include AWS, NoSQL, TeamCity. Great cross-training opportunity if you do not already have this knowledge.
As a software engineer, you will translate business requirements into software solutions, estimate, design, and implement logic that delivers system functionality, and adopt an end-user perspective to test solutions adequately.
All development is done in an Agile/Scrum environment; previous experience with this methodology and working with sprints is preferred.
We seek an individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, who understands the importance of teamwork, has excellent communication, and can contribute ideas.
This is a permanent role with a promising future.
Salary & Benefits: up to 70K + 25 days holiday. Office based in East Midlands, easily commutable from Sheffield, Derby, Nottingham, and Leicester. Accessible by public transport. 2 days in the office per week.
