JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY:
Provides expert-level analytical direction and support to the Business Systems Analysts, assists them with issues and problems, guides them, and answers any questions they may have. Assists the line of business in providing policy/procedure and problem-solving support to our internal customers. Works with team and other business units to develop win-win scenarios to drive quality, increase internal customer satisfaction, lower costs, and reduce risk.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides senior-level support to Business Systems Analysts.
- Creates detailed project plans and tracking documents to monitor projects from start to finish.
- Communicates issues related to projects and requests to the business unit and technical staff.
- Creates documentation related to projects and system changes for proper communication.
- Confers with personnel during mergers or acquisitions to ensure application conversion and operational success.
- Leads employee tasks, manages workload, projects, schedules, and training. Establishes QA solutions and selects appropriate tools.
- Supports the operations of an ITIL/ITSM-based branch service desk, including incident management.
- Trains staff to answer, document, and resolve calls/incidents.
- Develops long-term strategies for department growth and maintenance.
- Manages service level agreements, adherence, and reporting.
- Reports production incidents and escalates issues as needed.
- Standardizes and optimizes processes to improve customer satisfaction and productivity.
- Provides leadership for process and product improvements.
- Identifies and removes barriers to efficiency and satisfaction.
- Analyzes operational procedures and requirements with business personnel.
- Writes detailed technical design specifications and reviews system capabilities.
- Studies existing systems and develops new ones for improved workflow.
- Prepares workflow diagrams, technical reports, manuals, and documentation.
- Upgrades systems and resolves errors post-implementation.
- Assists programmers with work problems related to flowcharts and specifications.
- Prepares time and cost estimates for projects.
- Coordinates work of others in program development, testing, and installation.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supports departmental responsibilities, participates in hiring, training, and performance evaluation. May supervise employees directly or indirectly, addressing issues and resolving problems.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor\’s degree in Information Technology or related field.
- 5+ years of related experience or equivalent.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
- Working knowledge of accounting, contact management, database, development, HR, internet, payroll, and project management software.
- Effective communication skills in oral and written form.
ESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.
- Ability to operate a keyboard and interpret documents.
- Ability to travel if required.
- Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 10 pounds, with accommodations if necessary.
