Overview
Metrology & Test Systems Engineer at Fluke Corporation. Responsible for the development and calibration procedures, automation, analysis, validation and engineering for infrared temperature measurement instrumentation.
Responsibilities
- Develop calibration methods and techniques based on principles of measurement science, technical analysis of measurement problems, and accuracy and precision requirements primarily for Infrared Radiation and Thermography related measurements.
- Develop automated calibration procedures
- Design calibration test systems for the calibration of Fluke products
- Maintain and troubleshoot calibration test systems
- Perform calibrations to transfer traceability from Primary Standards to Laboratory Working Standards
- Perform uncertainty analysis in support accredited calibrations
- Support design engineers in development of metrological specifications for new products
- Develop control charts and statistical process control for calibration standards
- Look for ways to improve the calibration process
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in physics is preferred or a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with RF and optics emphasis
- Solid higher-level math skills such as calculus and application of numerical methods
- Ability to write code for measurement automation for data analysis, process control and calibration procedure development
- Experience in an ISO 17025 accredited lab strongly preferred
