As part of our ongoing growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team in East Riding of Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform planned and reactive electrical maintenance on machinery and equipment within the production environment.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults on a range of equipment including motors, conveyors, and packaging machines.
- Conduct installations, upgrades, and modifications to electrical systems and machinery.
- Work with PLC systems, ensuring the efficient running of automated production lines.
- Provide technical support to the production team, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
- Maintain electrical safety standards and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Assist in continuous improvement projects, identifying opportunities to enhance productivity and reduce downtime.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts used.
- Work as part of a team to support both engineering and production departments in achieving company goals.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Electrical Engineer with a relevant electrical engineering qualification (e.g., HNC/HND or equivalent).
- Experience working in an FMCG or manufacturing environment, with a strong background in electrical maintenance.
- Solid experience in fault-finding, PLC programming (preferably Siemens, Allen Bradley, or similar), and working with automated systems.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including motors, drives, control panels, and circuit boards.
- Proficiency in understanding and interpreting electrical diagrams and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot under pressure.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to maintenance.
- A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
