Bombardier’s Business Aircraft London Service Centre in Biggin Hill is part of an award‑winning network and is the flagship of Bombardier’s European operation. This Base and Line Maintenance Centre is the fastest‑growing Service Centre in Europe and the largest Business Aircraft OEM in the UK. The facility has the capabilities to perform an array of maintenance checks, modifications and upgrades all from this site. Only 14 miles from London, Bombardier’s Biggin Hill Service Centre is ideally located to support operators in the UK region and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to Bombardier’s Maintenance Organization Procedures, among which the relevant parts of the MOE and applicable work instructions.
- Comply with Environmental / Health / Safety policies and procedures. Perform all work in a safe and timely manner.
- Perform and document work performed per appropriate and approved maintenance data (e.g. aircraft maintenance manuals).
- Identify defective aircraft components using the Company’s Internal Procedure.
- Order parts in SAP.
- Carry out maintenance tasks to the standard specified in the Maintenance Data under supervision of Certifying Staff/Support Staff, and notify supervisors of defects or mistakes requiring rectification to re‑establish required maintenance standards.
- Report discrepancies.
- Properly process removed, uninstalled and rejected parts.
- Correct defects under supervision of Certifying Staff/Support Staff.
- Report maintenance errors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Recent experience in a line maintenance environment (ideally within the last 3 years and for a minimum period of 6 months).
- Recent experience working on business aircraft.
- Ideally hold an A License.
- Basic understanding of the requirements of Appendix I to Part‑66.
- Good knowledge of Part‑145.
- Knowledge of EWIS and CDCCL when relevant.
- Knowledge of, and practice in, human factors, human performance and limitations.
- Ability to interpret and work with engineering drawings.
- Effective communication skills in both written and verbal form regarding individual task status.
- Ability to use standard tools, special tools and to operate ground support equipment.
- Ability to identify and rectify existing and potential unsafe conditions.
- Experience understanding critical tasks.
- Basic PC skills.
- Valid UK Driving License (required for airside driving).
