My client is currently looking to recruit a Metrology Engineer to join their site on the outskirts of Glasgow. You will be working with a successful manufacturer, that has a culture on site that is results-driven with a strong focus on continuous improvement. The company is well established, financially stable and has earned a reputation as an excellent employer.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and create CMM programs using mCosmos software to perform precise measurements on parts and assemblies
- Operate CMM machines efficiently to measure components as per engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances
- Set up and calibrate CMM machines before conducting measurements to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Conduct regular inspection and verification of parts according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Utilise mCosmos software for efficient measurement programming, including advanced features like probe configurations, coordinate system setups, and data analysis tools
- Oversee regular calibration of all factory measurement equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal quality requirements
- Organise and coordinate with external calibration suppliers for periodic calibration services, ensuring all necessary certifications and documentation are provided
Experience Required:
- Experience working with other CMM software programs such as PC-DMIS, mCosmos, or similar
- Certification in quality control or CMM operation (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Technician)
- Familiarity with ISO/TS 16949 or other industry-specific quality standards
- Knowledge of calibration standards and working with external suppliers for equipment calibration and validation
