What you\’ll be doing

The technologies used in Body Shops are evolving daily, reshaping vehicle repair. We are growing our teams and seeking passionate individuals for the role of

  • Production Manager

All roles are central to our Auto Services business. You should be enthusiastic, upbeat, and committed to delivering the best repair service.

As a Production Manager, bring your experience, skills, and knowledge to lead, motivate, and develop your team. Ensure the delivery of world-class customer service, meet customer needs, keep promises, and achieve performance targets within DLG Auto Services. If you enjoy staying busy, this role is ideal for you.

What you’ll need

You will oversee workflow, ensuring financial, volume, and quality targets are met, delivering high-quality repairs and maximizing customer satisfaction. Manage both productive and support departments, fostering engagement, motivation, and good employee relations. This role reports to the site manager.

Key responsibilities include

  • Managing and coordinating staff to ensure effective repair workflows, meeting volume, sales, cost, and quality targets.
  • Adhering to Blueprint/Procedural/BS10125 regulations at all times.
  • Meeting and improving customer satisfaction targets.
  • Embedding best practices and lean activities as per business strategy.
  • Achieving budget sales and cost targets weekly, monthly, and annually.
  • Following health and safety policies, ensuring safe working practices, and proper PPE use.
  • Planning holidays, workshop loading, scheduling, and managing staff performance to meet productivity goals.
  • Maintaining CSI scores at or above target levels.
  • Completing legal and head office submissions.
  • Completing quarterly Group Learning Policy requirements.
  • Applying Standard Operating Procedures as per policies.
  • Conducting regular 1-to-1s and quarterly reviews with staff.
  • Collaborating with the centre manager on talent identification and succession planning.

You should have previous experience in a similar role, with skills in:

  • High-volume accident repair management and scheduling.
  • BS10125 regulations.
  • Thatcham repair methods.

This is a permanent onsite role, 45 hours per week.
