Bombardier’s Business Aircraft London Service Centre in Biggin Hill is part of an award-winning network and is the flagship of Bombardier’s European operation. This Base and Line Maintenance Centre is the fastest-growing Service Centre in Europe and the largest Business Aircraft OEM in the UK. The facility has the capabilities to perform an array of maintenance checks, modifications and upgrades all from this site. Only 14 miles from London, Bombardier’s Biggin Hill Service Centre is ideally located to support operators in the UK region and beyond.

In your role, you will

  • Troubleshoots, repairs, inspects and performs maintenance on customer aircraft
  • Performs and documents all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required
  • Be able to train, coach and support other employees
  • Perform complete engine runs as required
  • Perform complex repairs on aircraft systems
  • Supervise Mechanics when carrying out maintenance tasks, and determine that relevant tasks or inspections have been carried out to the required standard
  • Release maintenance tasks that are performed by him-/herself or under his supervision for which he/she is trained and authorized
  • Sign off base maintenance tasks that are performed by him-/herself or under his/her supervision, in support of Certifying Staff Category C
  • Perform maintenance at off-site locations
  • Assist when providing time estimates

As our ideal candidate,

  • You hold an UK CAA and/or EASA Part 66 Aircraft Technician License: B1 and/or B2 and/or C
  • You are type-rated on relevant Bombardier Business Aircraft Type including; Challenger 300’s, Challenger 600’s and Global series (preferred)
  • You have up to date basic knowledge requirements of Appendix I to Part-66
  • You have basic knowledge of Part-M, Part-145 and any other relevant regulations
  • You have been involved in at least 6 months of actual relevant aircraft or component maintenance experience in any consecutive 2-year period
  • You have knowledge on, and practicing of, human factors, human performance and limitations
  • You have knowledge on EWIS and CDCCL when relevant
  • You have experience working during last two years on at least one aircraft type for each license (sub)category
  • You are current on all training requirements (recurrent/continuation training)
  • You have the ability to interpret and work with engineering drawings
  • You are able to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual task and / or aircraft status
  • You are highly proficient in using standard tools, special tools and operate ground support equipment
  • You have the ability to work in accordance with the maintenance data and to notify the function responsible of defects or mistakes requiring rectification to re-establish required maintenance standards
  • You have the ability to use information systems (computer skills)
