TeacherActive is delighted to be working with an exceptional secondary school based in Warwickshire who are looking for a teaching assistant to join their SEND department.

This school provides a high standard of education and focuses on providing students with a daily structure and routine to ensure the best learning environment for their individual needs.

Needs of students can range from; Autism, ADHD, MLD and SEMH. You may be required to work with students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

The successful SEND teaching assistant will be confident and adaptable in working from Key Stage 3 / KS3 to Key Stage 4 / KS4 helping them to meet their milestones and giving them 1 to 1 support.

The applicant would also have to be well equipped to deal with challenging behaviour and work collaboratively with Teachers to support the classroom.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant/TA will have the following:

  • Experience working with ASD, ADHD, MLD, SEMH
  • A calm, patient, and caring personality
  • A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
  • Experience in working with supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis
  • Excellent classroom management
