In this pivotal role, you will lead and support finance activities related to strategic projects for City Energy Solutions (CES) heat businesses in the UK.
You will play a key role in evaluating and supporting strategic growth opportunities, including the assessment of complex investment cases and value‑creation initiatives.
This will involve detailed and robust data sourcing and financial analysis and coordinating across Finance and the wider business.
Main responsibilities of the role
- Support the development of business cases and scenarios for the City Energy Solutions (CES) business.
- Conduct financial analyses to aid decision‑making, including cost‑benefit analysis, ROI calculations, and financial modelling.
- Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support decision‑making and drive business performance.
- Support finance activities for CES strategic projects; be a key conduit between the finance and business/project teams coordinating data submissions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across Finance and the wider business.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Senior Finance Business Partner or similar role.
- Ability to gather, interpret and present complex financial data, working at pace and with accuracy.
- Strong relationship building and communication skills with the ability to influence and work effectively across external and internal stakeholders.
- Energy, drive, determination and enthusiasm and an ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in financial management software and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Membership of a professional accounting institute (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with PQE.
