Position Overview:
Deliver advanced MRI/MRA services in an outpatient setting. Operate imaging technology, ensure diagnostic accuracy, and collaborate with diagnostic teams to optimize patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide imaging services within magnetic resonance discipline parameters.
- Work independently to maintain timely and efficient outpatient services.
- Collaborate with the Diagnostic Imaging team and other departments to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Clinical and Technical Responsibilities:
- Follow hospital, departmental, and examination protocols.
- Maintain equipment, troubleshoot issues, and perform repairs as needed.
- Conduct quality assurance on films and equipment.
- Schedule examinations, review daily schedules, and manage corrections or cancellations.
- Ensure exams are completed, including Teleradiology of films.
- Update and communicate departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain staff and physician call schedules.
- Proficient in contrast injections.
- Follow infection control principles.
- Apply problem-solving skills to technical issues.
- Perform safety and patient screening as appropriate.
- Administer contrast dosages correctly.
- Utilize system applications properly.
- Perform MRI and MRA studies appropriately.
- Respond to patient needs while maintaining confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- Education: Accredited Radiology/MRI program
- Licensure:
- WA Radiologic Technologist Certification
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in MRI and/or CT (preferred)
- MRI/MRA contrast injection
