Director of Finance – Sandwell Colleges

At Sandwell Colleges, we\’re seeking a passionate, qualified accountant to join our leadership team as Director of Finance. This key role reports directly to the Executive Director of Finance and Resources, serving as a vital member of our senior leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Finance team, taking direct line management responsibility
- Oversee financial controls, budgeting, forecasting and statutory returns
- Manage monthly accounts, cashflow projections and annual budgets
- Ensure tax and VAT compliance with HMRC regulations
- Fully qualified Accountant (CIPFA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Strong leadership and strategic thinking abilities
- Commitment to education and student success
We\’re looking for someone who is passionate about education and understands how strong financial leadership supports student achievement. You\’ll adopt a business-partnering approach, working closely with budget-holders while maintaining the highest standards of financial governance.
