Job Description

TPF Recruitment, Surrey\’s leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, is supporting a market-leading firm of chartered accountants based in Guildford, known for its strong reputation and national presence. We are recruiting a Corporate Tax Accountant to join their dynamic tax team in an exciting and progressive role. This position involves providing tax compliance and advisory services to a diverse range of clients, primarily managing a portfolio of clients and offering tailored advice.

The team handles various business tax areas including business reconstructions, demergers, corporate tax advisory, capital allowances, EIS and SEIS, R&D, and share options. The role offers opportunities to develop expertise across different areas with support and training from the business to enhance your technical skills.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee tax compliance services and provide advisory support to clients.
  2. Support niche advisory areas based on experience and aspirations.
  3. Manage a portfolio of clients.
  4. Build and maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
  5. Supervise and mentor less experienced team members.
  6. Support, train, and develop team members.
  7. Drive improvements and champion change within current practices.
  8. Lead on complex projects.

Requirements:

  1. CTA and/or ACA/ACCA part-qualified or newly qualified.
  2. Extensive accountancy practice experience.
  3. Up-to-date knowledge of taxation, capable of handling complex tax issues.
  4. Project and staff management experience.
  5. Ability to manage a substantial client portfolio.
  6. Demonstrable post-qualification experience.
