This vibrant and inclusive primary school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team. With a strong focus on academic excellence, the school creates a supportive and engaging environment where every pupil is encouraged to reach their full potential.
The school\’s leadership team is dedicated to continuous improvement, ensuring that systems for teaching, learning, and pastoral care are well-organised and effective. Regular communication with parents and caregivers fosters a strong sense of community and ensures that every child is supported both at school and at home.
Responsibilities:
* Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons across various subject
* Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment where all pupils feel supported and valued
* Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement individualised learning plans for pupils with special educational needs
* Assist with classroom management and behaviour management, fostering a safe and respectful atmosphere conducive to learning
* Support pupils during break times and extracurricular activities as needed
What we require:
* A valid Teaching Assistant qualification
* A valid DBS check is preferred (although we can assist you in applying for one if needed)
* At least 2 professional references from previous employers in education or childcare settings
* Current knowledge of the curriculum
* Strong adaptability and initiative
* A passion for teaching children
