Actemium Mechanical is seeking a skilled and proactive Site Supervisor to lead mechanical installation projects in the Food & Beverage Industry. Site Supervisor Role – Mechanical Installation – Food & Beverage Industry
Join Actemium Mechanical and play a pivotal role in managing mechanical projects on-site for the UK’s largest Food & Beverage manufacturers. Our projects span new system installations, upgrades, and maintenance works, allowing you to make a tangible impact in production environments that demand quality and reliability.
Main Responsibilities of the Mechanical Site Supervisor
- Supervise and coordinate on-site mechanical installation teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure safe and effective project delivery.
- Lead daily site briefings, toolbox talks, and drive compliance with all health & safety and environmental standards.
- Monitor installation progress, manage resource allocation and adjust schedules as needed to meet project deadlines.
- Oversee the quality control process, ensuring workmanship and mechanical installations meet required specifications and client standards.
- Provide day-to-day point of contact for client site representatives, proactively resolving issues and fostering positive relationships.
- Prepare and maintain accurate site documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, site diaries, inspection reports and handover documentation.
- Support commissioning and handover activities to ensure successful project close-out.
- Report regularly to the Project Manager, highlighting progress, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Required Skills & Experience – Mechanical Site Supervision – Food & Beverage Projects
- Relevant qualification in mechanical engineering, construction management, or substantial equivalent industry experience.
- Proven track record of supervising mechanical installation teams on complex sites—ideally in the Food & Beverage, process, or regulated manufacturing sectors.
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems, piping, structural steel, or equipment installations in production environments.
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, plans, and technical documentation.
- Demonstrable commitment to health & safety—experience with RAMS, permit to work, and site safety checks.
- Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills, working effectively with a variety of stakeholders and a diverse workforce.
- UK driving licence and willingness to travel and work on client sites nationwide as required.
- CSCS or equivalent site safety accreditation (SSSTS/SMSTS desirable).
