Warehouse Manager – Up to 45K – Monday to Friday, Days only, Free Parking, 25 days holiday + 8 Days Bank – St.Albans

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Warehouse Manager to join an established high quality supplier based in St Albans. The organisation have been trading for over 30 years and are one of the U.K\’s leading in their industry.

This exciting opportunity will suit an experienced Warehouse Manager who can lead and motivate a team of people to deliver the highest possible standards, whilst driving productivity and efficiency through effective use of process and systems. They will oversee the smooth running of the warehouse managing both the inbound and outbound flow of products, storage, inventory and all logistics through a team of three direct line reports.

Warehouse Manager Responsibilities & Skills

  • Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company\’s policies and vision
  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations to optimise efficiency and productivity
  • Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization
  • Create and maintain warehouse related SOP\’s
  • Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security to include all relevant training updates
  • Manage stock control and monitor and investigate stock discrepancies
  • Manage stock loss in line with set targets including the maintenance of an accurate stock file
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies
  • Maintain the brand image of all fleet vehicles
  • Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results whilst minimising the use of overtime to deliver
  • Set up dedicated training plans to ensure required learning and development is taking place
  • Have a robust selection process to onboard new colleagues
  • Manage three direct reports: two Shift Mangers and Transport Manager
  • Ensure 1:1\’s and colleague reviews are conducted in line with Company policies
  • Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc) as technology allows
  • Receive and request feedback and monitor the quality of services provided

You will be a motivated Warehouse Manager with fantastic communication skills and have prior experience within a similar position. The successful Warehouse Manager should have strong understanding of management techniques, a passion for driving excellence and the ability to inspire a team.
