Instrumentation & Controls Engineer (Mid-Level)
POWER Engineers, Member of WSP is seeking a Mid-Level Engineer to work in our Generation Division – Instrumentation & Controls Department located in our Boise and Hailey, Idaho offices.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Development of instrumentation and control design documents for power generation projects
- Lead Instrumentation & Controls design efforts on multi-discipline projects
- Instrumentation design and selection
- Instrumentation installation design
- Control System wiring design
- Control System logic design
- Control system hardware design and configuration
- Coordination with colleagues in other engineering disciplines on multi-discipline projects
- Coordination with clients, equipment vendors, and contractors on projects
- Field commissioning support on project start-up efforts
- Hybrid work schedule
Required Education/Experience
- B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering
- 5-12 years of Instrumentation and Controls experience
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with little oversight
Desired Education/Experience
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
- Experience with PLC hardware/software and configuration
- Experience power generation processes or power plant control systems
- Network and SCADA Design
- Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Visio, Access, etc.
