The Opportunity
Radar Healthcare\’s newSenior React Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior React Engineer to join our dynamic team. As the most experienced React developer in the organisation, you will serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for all React-related front-end projects. The codebase is currently in the process of being ported to React, making this a pivotal role in Radar Healthcare’s technical evolution.
If you have extensive experience in React engineering and leadership, or if you are a strong individual contributor ready to take the next step into full ownership of technical direction, this role is designed for you. We are looking for someone strong-minded who has opinions about front-end technology choices and understands the trade-offs involved. While this role does not require line management responsibilities, it offers a chance to lead by example, mentor others, and drive innovation in front-end development.
What you’ll be doingto make a difference:
- Take ownership of the current React codebase, ensuring it remains scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with industry best practices.
- Act as the React SME, providing technical guidance and expertise for all front-end development projects
- Proactively identify and address technical challenges, ensuring the team consistently meets both technical and business objectives.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and establish front-end development standards and practices.
Your journey so far…
- Extensive experience with React, including deep knowledge of its ecosystem and best practices.
- Solid understanding of modern JavaScript, TypeScript, and front-end tooling (e.g., Webpack, Babel…).
- A proven track record of working on and maintaining complex web applications
- Strong knowledge of best practices for implementing and managing i18n, l10n and a11y in React projects.
- Best practices in unit testing and automated web testing (e.g. Cypress).
Even better if you…
- Experience in the Healthcare tech industry
- Strong technical leadership skills, with the ability to guide and inspire a team.
- Strong opinions on front-end technology choices and the ability to evaluate trade-offs effectively.
