PurposeThe Head of Cyber Security and Infrastructure will oversee the Cyber Security estate at Shaw Trust. Adhering to the Cyber Assessment Framework, this role will continuously improve our internal security posture, identifying, assessing, and mitigating cyber security risks, in accordance with laws, regulations, and industry standards.

They will be responsible to leverage and optimise a number of tools including, MS Defender, Sentinel, Azure and our SOC partner to enhance cyber resilience, conduct threat analysis and proactive risk assessments to design effective controls.

They will lead the Group\’s Cyber Security operations function, by providing strategic direction and coordinating day-to-day delivery of threat intelligence, threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management and ethical hacking capabilities.

This role will lead a team of Infrastructure Engineers, ensuring strong data controls are in place to develop a robust controlled environment. They will work closely with key stakeholders to establish responsibilities and ensure an end-to-end approach to cyber resilience is embedded in other functions.

Reporting directly to the Director of Technology, they will play a key role in the Technology Directorate and IT Leadership team, to improve cyber reporting and effectiveness.

Essential:

You will have:

  • Extensive understanding of the Azure platform and its Azure data development, including but not limited to Azure storage, Azure SQL, Azure data Factory, Azure Function Apps, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Authentication. (E).
  • Extensive understanding of MS Defender (E).
  • Extensive understanding of Sentinel (E).
  • Extensive understanding of the Cyber Assessment Framework (E).
  • Understanding of SQL or other coding principles / language for purposes of master data service integrations (E).
  • Degree or equivalent level of experience in related subject (E).
