Overview:
Working for a large manufacturing business that have sites across the UK we now require a site-based Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join the team.
Key responsibilities of the Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role:
- To maintain service and repair all automated plant machinery to minimise production down time.
- Provide technical support on all projects, installations and breakdowns
- PPM\’s
The ideal candidate / Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:
- Time served apprentice trained or above
- Previous experience working in a maintenance focused role within a manufacturing/production environment or similar
- Mechanically competent working – welding, fabrication.
- An electrical understanding changing like for like parts and basic fault finding would be beneficial.
