Maintenance Engineer – FMCG Manufacturing

£40,000 – £44,000 + Excellent Benefits | 2/3s Shift (Days Only) | Cardiff

We are working with a well-established and expanding FMCG manufacturer seeking skilled Maintenance Engineers to support a modern, high-volume production site in Cardiff . This is a great opportunity to secure a long-term role within a business investing heavily in people, equipment, and future growth.

The Role

Working within a fast-paced FMCG environment, you’ll be responsible for a balanced mix of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance , ensuring machinery and production lines run safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on automated manufacturing and packaging equipment

  • Fault-finding and effective breakdown response in a time-critical production environment

  • Supporting continuous improvement, reliability, and engineering-led initiatives

  • Working closely with production teams to maintain output, safety, and quality standards

This role operates on a 2/3s shift pattern (Days Only) , offering structured daytime hours and strong work–life balance.

  • Experienced Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical, Electrical or Multi-Skilled)

  • Background in FMCG, manufacturing, or automated production environments
