Overview
- Join a cutting-edge team at the forefront of semiconductor technology.
- As a key Engineer, you’ll work across multiple sites operating state-of-the-art 200mm and 300mm semiconductor equipment, specialising in Photolithography and Bake processes that power tomorrow’s innovation.
Key tasks
- Take the lead on equipment installations, commissioning, upgrades, maintenance and repairs for all Photolithography and Bake systems.
- Collaborate closely with production teams and operators in a supportive, team-driven environment.
- Primarily work day shifts or rotating on a 4 x 12 hour day shift (optional).
- Help shape and review training programs—maintain the technical training matrix and mentor team members as needed.
- Continuously seek out and support process improvements to enhance efficiency and equipment performance.
- Partner with production planning to ensure priorities are aligned and operational demand is met effectively.
- Maintain accurate records using tool tracking systems, reports, and spare parts inventories.
- Create and present detailed technical reports related to equipment performance and troubleshooting.
- Contribute to the smooth and safe operation of cleanroom activities, including compliance with H&S, 5S, and CIP standards.
- Provide secondary engineering support in other key process areas such as Etch, Deposition, Metrology, BEOL, and Automation.
Qualifications and training
- Degree / HND or equivalent in an Engineering discipline.
- Proven experience with Photolithography and Bake processes in a high-volume semiconductor manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office / 365 tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO9000.
Skills and experience
- In-depth knowledge of Photolithography Wafer Track, Stepper, and Bake equipment in a production environment.
- Highly organised, with strong time-management skills and the ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, diagnostic instruments, and test equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities for identifying and resolving complex equipment issues.
- Proactive and self-motivated, capable of working independently and as part of a high-performing team.
- Able to develop clear, detailed maintenance procedures and documentation.
- Experience mentoring and training technicians, apprentices, and junior engineers.
- Comfortable reporting on critical metrics and contributing to continuous improvement (CIP) initiatives.
