Your new company
We are seeking an Engineering department lead for a business that designs and supplies machinery to manufacturers across the UK and beyond. This successful business is expanding due to customer demand and is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable electrical engineer to lead a team of service engineers.

Your new role
You will be responsible for leading and managing all electrical engineering and maintenance activities and projects involving the electrical department. This role requires a strong technical background in electrical engineering, with a proven ability to manage projects, teams, and budgets effectively. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of hands-on experience and strong leadership skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and safety. You will be working Monday to Friday, 40 hours weekly, with an expectation for travel where required to support customer installations.

What you’ll need to succeed
Ideally, you will have completed an Engineering apprenticeship or a similar qualification standard. You will have experience within a manufacturing environment, with hands-on experience in industrial electrical systems, including troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance. Up-to-date knowledge of PLCs, including Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron, and HMI design is essential. Proven leadership skills, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities are required, as well as the capability to manage multiple projects and excellent communication and customer service skills.
