We’re working with a well-established high street law firm in Bristol, known for its down-to-earth approach and longstanding client relationships. The firm is growing and now looking to welcome an experienced Conveyancing Fee Earner into its team — someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys helping clients, and would value a flexible working arrangement that fits around life and family.
About the Role
You’ll manage your own caseload of residential matters (around 30 new matters per month for full-time), with the support of two experienced secretaries. You’ll be responsible for all aspects of the transaction from instruction through to completion, working closely with clients to ensure a smooth and personable service.
Whether you’re looking for full-time or part-time hours, the firm is open to finding the right fit for you — offering hybrid working, school hours where needed, and a supportive approach to balancing home and work commitments.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Handling a caseload of residential conveyancing matters (volume adjusted for part-time)
- Managing transactions including sales, purchases, leasehold, remortgage and transfers of equity
- Liaising directly with clients, agents, lenders and other solicitors
- Overseeing file progression with support from two secretaries
- Maintaining compliance and excellent service standards
- Being a key part of a friendly and approachable property team
What We’re Looking For
- An experienced conveyancing fee earner, either qualified (Solicitor, Legal Executive, Licensed Conveyancer) or unqualified with a strong background in managing files
- Confident in running a caseload independently
- Clear, friendly communicator with strong client care skills
- Organised, proactive, and comfortable working as part of a close-knit team
- Someone who values flexibility, consistency and a supportive work culture
What’s on Offer
- Salary between £35,000 – £65,000, depending on experience
- Performance-related bonus linked to firm profits
- Flexible working – full-time or part-time hours available
- Hybrid working with a mix of home and office
- Supportive, people-focused firm with a strong local reputation
- A genuinely friendly, professional environment with long-term career prospects
Whether you’re returning to work after a break, juggling family commitments, or simply seeking a better work-life balance — this could be the role for you.
