Robert Walpole & Partners (RWP) is a civil and structural engineering consultancy delivering vital clean water, wastewater and rail infrastructure across the UK. We are seeking a commercially astute Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of our growing portfolio of projects.What You’ll Do
- Commercial Control: Lead the preparation and ongoing management of project budgets, cost plans and CVRs across multiple live schemes.
- Valuations & Payments: Oversee subcontractor and client applications, interim valuations, variations and final account settlements.
- Client Interface: Represent RWP at client and project meetings, contributing commercially to discussions and decision-making.
- Procurement & Contract Management: Run tender processes, negotiate commercial terms, and administer contracts (e.g. NEC3/4).
- Project Delivery Support: Work closely with engineers, CAD technicians and project managers to integrate commercial insight into project delivery.
- Cost Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly reporting, forecasting and cash flow analysis to support internal and external stakeholders.

About You
- Experience: 3–5 years’ experience in a commercial or QS role within the civil engineering, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
- Qualifications: Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
- Contract Knowledge: Familiarity with NEC forms of contract (Option A or C) and experience administering them.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Excel, Word and project costing tools. Experience with financial reporting systems is an advantage.
- Professionalism: Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Logistics: Willing to work from our Slough office. A driving licence and access to a car is preferred.
