The HMC Group is seeking to appoint a Perth based Business Development ManagerAviation to work closely with the Managing Director across the Nexus Airlines, Aviair and HeliSpirit businesses.

The Business Development Manager – Aviation will drive growth in corporate, charter and regular public transport services across regional Australia. This role will be instrumental in expanding our presence in the resources sector, fostering key industry relationships, and identifying new business opportunities.

This is a highly strategic role that requires a proactive, results-driven professional with a strong understanding of corporate aviation, charter operations, and the needs of industries such as mining, oil & gas, energy, SMEs and government agencies.

About the role

Business Development & Sales

Identify and secure new business opportunities across the corporate and charter markets with a focus on key industries including resources, mining, and energy

Develop and implement strategic sales plans to increase revenue and market share.

Client Engagement & Relationship Management

Build and nurture relationships with existing and prospective clients.

Lead contract negotiations and deliver customised aviation solutions.

Collaborate with internal departments to ensure outstanding client service.

Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging market opportunities.

Advise senior leadership with actionable insights to support business growth.

Create compelling proposals, presentations, and business cases.

Work with operational teams to develop commercially sound and competitive offerings.

About you:

Proven experience in business development, sales, or commercial management (ideally in aviation, resources, or related industries).

Strong network and understanding of the Western Australian resources sector.

Exceptional relationship management and negotiation skills.

Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful business growth strategies.

High-level commercial acumen with experience structuring and closing complex deals.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proposal and presentation development.

Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and travel domestically on a frequent basis.
