Daily House Manager, based in Holland Park, £60,000 – £80,000 per annum DOE
All House Managers applying to this role must be happy to work 2 weekends a month, including some evenings if required.
This is a Live-Out House Manager role but you maybe required to stay overnight occasionally, so all House Managers need to be flexible.
We are seeking a dedicated, discreet, and experienced House Manager to oversee the set-up and on-going management of a newly built, state-of-the-art private residence in London. This exceptional home features advanced systems, luxury finishes, fine art, and antiques—and while it is extraordinary, it is first and foremost a family home that requires warm and professional service.
This is a unique opportunity to take ownership from the early set-up phase through to full operational management, reporting into a COS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting up the house from scratch
- Support the final completion stages of the property, ensuring all finishes and systems meet exacting standards
- Learn and manage advanced home automation, security, and maintenance systems; create manuals and operational documentation
- Establish service and maintenance contracts
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, service providers, and vendors
- Create comprehensive household manuals and inventories
- Recruit, onboard, and train household staff
- Oversee logistics for deliveries, procurement, and move-in
- Liaise with architects, designers, and suppliers to finalise outstanding works and maintenance plans
Once the property has been initially set-up, the House Manager will be responsible for
- Ongoing House Management
- Overseeing day-to-day household operations and staff.
- Manage all property systems and maintenance schedules.
- Maintain impeccable standards of presentation and care across the home.
- Handle household budgeting, financial tracking, and vendor contracts.
- Ensure effective communication with the family’s wider professional team
- Manage security protocols and guest access.
- Plan and oversee private events
- Provide highly discreet, professional support to the family
- Maintain and update household inventories and procurement
- Develop contingency planning and emergency procedures
- Work closely with the Chief of Staff to uphold household policies
- Provide regular operational updates to the Principal and Chief of Staff
