  • The Electrical Engineer will engage with Procurement, Quality and Manufacturing teams to develop designs that are optimised for our production facilities.
  • The Electrical Engineer will also have the opportunity to interact with service and sales colleagues to build a deeper understanding of the global industrial truck markets and customer operations through customer visits and workshop sessions.
  • We intend to develop the individual to become an automation specialist. The skillsets that are developed will be utilised throughout the HYMH engineering group, where the engineer will supervise, and support automation development carried out around the business.
  • Travel between HYMH facilities in Europe and the USA will be a requirement, as well as travel to HYMH vendor, dealer and customer locations.

As an Electrical Engineer you will have several responsibilities that include

  • Generating innovative solutions that fulfil functional, performance, cost and quality requirements using state-of-the-art design systems
  • Managing the release of design packages to stakeholders within the business using company processes and procedures
  • Supporting the testing of new automation solutions, both at component and truck levels, and reviewing the test reports to determine if solutions are fit for purpose
  • Undertaking an in-house personal development plan to specialise in automation design
  • Demonstrating initiative within HYMH and externally with suppliers to drive for project results

To be considered for the Electrical Engineer vacancy, you must understand product design and development methodologies, and have an ability to learn and use CAD systems, understand the principles of change management and document control, understand circuit diagrams and have an inquisitive mindset to explore and utilise new technologies.
