VINCI is a leading provider of facilities management and building solutions across the UK, delivering exceptional service in both public and private sectors. We’re expanding our winning work team and looking for a dedicated Construction Bid Manager to join us in Rainham, Essex.
Job Description
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-respected contractor with a strong pipeline of major refurbishment and fit-out projects across London and the South East. You’ll take the lead on a variety of framework tenders and standalone bids ranging from £500k to £8 million, supporting our continued growth across multiple sectors. While we\’re seeking candidates with previous bid management experience, we’re also open to developing a high-potential Bid Writer from a construction background into the Bid Manager role.
Responsibilities
• Full bid lifecycle management, from PQQs through to final tender submission
• Work closely with Preconstruction, Estimating, Planning, and Delivery teams
• Develop winning strategies aligned to client needs and project drivers
• Produce compelling written content and tailored proposals
• Attend client meetings, presentations, and interviews as needed
• Identify and mitigate bid risks early in the process
Essential Qualifications/Skills
• Proven experience managing bids within the construction sector, ideally on refurbishment projects
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify win themes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple complex bids simultaneously under pressure
• Previous experience with a Tier 1 contractor is strongly preferred
• Consideration will also be given to Bid Writers with construction experience looking to step up into a Bid Manager role
