We are looking for a trend driven experienced Assistant/Junior garment designer, looking to push the menswear design here at Next. Experience within casual shirting design and checks would be advantageous.

The role
Focusing on casual shirting and check design, your role will be a ‘game of two halves’. Researching the latest trends relevant to various customer profiles, then communicating this information to your team and senior managers is a key part of this role. We would ask you to produce creative designs that tastefully represent and reflect the latest trends into the Next customer base. Travel is also a big part of this role as well as collaboration across the team.
We would love you to have previous experience working within garment design and a love of menswear- within a UK brand or high street retailer. Previous experience working on multi-product would be desirable but not essential. A great taste level and a real passion for the latest trends and how to translate these to your designs, whilst having an enthusiastic attitude and team player. Experience designing checks and casual shirting would be advantageous.
