1:1 Teaching Assistant (Full Time, Temporary)

Β£444.60 – Β£500 per week (salary is dependent upon experience and/or qualifications)

The School and Role

We are looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant on behalf of a small primary school, operating at the heart of the community in the East End area of Newcastle. The successful Teaching Assistant will be expected to deliver one-to-one support, working as part of an established team in the Key Stage 1 section of the school. The role would be Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 3.30pm. This school operates within an ethos emphasising the creation of a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children. The school is ideally seeking a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant who has experience working with young children with special educational needs and disabilities, however would be open to other qualifications and experience if relevant.

Requirements

The desired Early Years Teaching Assistant will have;

  • Experience of working with primary school aged children
  • Experience of working with pupils with SEND
  • Experience delivering small group interventions and support
  • A passion for ensuring the progress of early years pupils
  • An ability to work as part of a team
  • Ideally Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, however other relevant experience is desirable
