Cybersecurity Technical SME (UK)
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Technical Subject Matter Expert to design and implement large, strategic and complex cybersecurity technology products. In this role, you will provide expert and authoritative advice to architecture and development teams, ensuring solutions comply with relevant policies, reference models, regulations, and best practices.
Location – Customer site in City of London (5 days per week, however 2 days per week, temporarily, while offices are refurbed)
Perm – Full
Standard Working pattern – Mon – Fri – Office hours
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
• Interpret cybersecurity relevant regulatory requirements, best practices and translate these into business-aligned cybersecurity requirements
• Architect, design and implement cyber technology products
• Deliver technical solutions across the cyber security platform
• Provide recommendations on security best practices for cross-portfolio projects
• Manage and work independently or as part of a team in delivering complex projects
• Support and execute deliverables including business requirements, technical design and architecture
• Engage with other IT Security and Infrastructure teams
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
Essential:
• Experience in security architecture, review and design
• Experience implementing cyber products in large complex environments
• Experience implementing cloud security architecture
• Experience conducting IT Security reviews (technical) of new products/solutions
• Demonstrable proficiency in a wide range of IT security technologies and embedded security
• Knowledge covering key cybersecurity domains such as Identity and Access Management and Vulnerability Management
• High level of analytical ability to solve unusual and difficult problems
• Strong working knowledge of technology – servers, database and network devices
• Ability to maintain a working knowledge of cybersecurity principles and elements
• Demonstrable experience of senior stakeholder management and relevant management reporting
• Ability to coach team members through knowledge transfer and constructive feedback

• Degree educated and/or equivalent experience
