VANRATH are pleased to be working with a successful SME business based in Belfast in their recruitment of an Interim Financial Controller for an initial period of 6 months. This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Finance professional to join a market leading business, becoming an important member of the senior management team. Initially advertised as an interim position, this is a long term requirement for the business and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to secure a permanent contract, depending on performance.
Reporting to the CFO, the Financial Controller will take responsibility for all aspects of financial management including regulatory and financial reporting, budgets & forecasts preparation, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures. Overseeing a small finance team, the successful candidate will be a strong communicator with previous experience of working in a growth environment.
About you
- Qualified Accountant with 5+ years PQE
- Experience of leading a finance team
- Excellent communication skills, an ability to influence and negotiate
- High level reporting skills
- Available at short notice
What you\’ll do
- Lead the finance team throughout month end close out process
- Implement improvements with internal controls and processes
- Lead on system integrations
- Lead transactional processes, ensuring deliverables are met
