People2people are recruiting for a Technical Designer (Interiors Projects) for a leading luxury hospitality brand, renowned for delivering exceptional guest experiences through timeless design and innovative spatial solutions.
This is a heavily technical role, ideal for someone with a meticulous eye for detail and a strong foundation in hospitality design and architectural standards. The successful candidate will work to translate conceptual designs and turn them into comprehensive technical drawing packages that adhere to brand standards and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce highly detailed AutoCAD drawings, including floor plans, elevations and sections.
- Collaborate with design leads to develop and maintain accurate drawing documentation throughout all project phases (concept through construction).
- Ensure all technical outputs meet internal quality standards and align with building codes and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate closely with consultants, suppliers, and contractors to resolve technical issues and deliver clear construction documentation.
- Support value engineering efforts without compromising design integrity or brand quality.
- Participate in site visits as needed, in order to verify installations and provide on-site technical support.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong previous experience in a technical design role, preferably within the hospitality, high-end residential, or luxury retail sectors.
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, detailing, materials, and building regulations (UK and international).
- Exceptional technical drawing and documentation skills with an acute attention to detail.
- Familiarity with project phases from concept to installation.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interpret and translate design intent into workable technical solutions.
