Job Description

Reports To: Cloud Chief Technologist

Description:

The Cloud Portfolio Leader will be responsible for driving a portfolio of offerings within the Cloud Business Unit – Networking. This role will contribute technical thought leadership and direction of the offerings that form part of the overall Cloud strategy. The Cloud Portfolio Leader will ensure the successful evolution of our Cloud services, with a primary focus on the growth of the portfolio in networking.

This role would be ideal for an Enterprise Architect/Network Architect looking to focus on building a portfolio to discuss strategy with clients or an Architect that wants to remain technical but get more involved with presales and clients long term networking strategy.

The role will have line management of a small team of network presales architects

Home-based with travel to UK customers and various UK offices (London HQ, Cambridgeshire, Belfast, Scotland etc)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to understand objectives and develop strategic cloud offering roadmaps.
  • Management of a small team of Network Presales Architects
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of existing cloud capabilities to identify opportunities for expansion and growth of the cloud business.
  • Lead the development of cloud offerings and architecture blueprints, considering factors such as scalability, security, compliance, and cost efficiency.
  • Provide thought leadership and expertise on emerging cloud technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Work with strategic partners and industry innovators to stay ahead of new developments and ensure offerings reflect leading trends.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive consensus and alignment on cloud initiatives, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor the performance of cloud offerings and support optimisation and innovation in offerings through continuous review.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering executive-level presentations, workshops, and strategic recommendations to support decision-making and drive business value.
  • Chair the portfolio working group with relevant stakeholders from across the business to take inputs and drive an agreed roadmap for the portfolio.

Key Objectives:

  • Support the growth of the Cloud business in line with business goals and targets.
  • Provide leadership to the Cloud portfolio on roadmap and strategy in line with the objectives of the Cloud Business Unit
  • Be the focal point and technical point of contact for the Cloud portfolio within the company, supporting all teams on the sale and delivery of offerings.
  • Raise the profile of the company through engagement and support to Industry Analyst responses and briefings

Qualifications

Technical Skills:

  • Experience of Cloud Networking technology providers covering WAN, LAN, WiFi, Cloud Network Architectures, NVA, Firewall, Load Balancing
  • Certifications from any of the following Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Azure, AWS
  • Experience of presenting and positioning complex solution portfolios to customers
