The Role
Job Summary: We seek a Mapping Regional Manager to optimize mapping services and geospatial solutions for logistics and transportation. The role involves enhancing route efficiency, last-mile delivery, and mapping data accuracy across a regional network. The candidate will collaborate with fleet managers, supply chain teams, and technology partners to drive operational excellence and cost savings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Route Optimization & Navigation Enhancement:
- Develop and implement mapping strategies to improve route planning, reduce delivery times, and enhance fuel efficiency.
- Leverage Maps APIs for real-time traffic, road conditions, and weather data.
- Optimize last-mile delivery with accurate geolocation of delivery points.
- Oversee integration of Maps APIs and fleet tracking platforms.
- Collaborate with developers to enhance route automation and predictive analytics.
- Ensure mapping solutions integrate seamlessly with GPS, telematics, and IoT systems.
- Ensure accurate mapping and updates for warehouses, hubs, and delivery points.
- Use GIS tools to assess and optimize transportation routes.
- Work with authorities and map providers to correct data discrepancies.
- Track metrics like delivery efficiency, fuel usage, driver performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Analyze geospatial data for inefficiencies and improvements.
- Report on mapping impact and operational performance.
- Ensure adherence to mapping policies and regulations.
- Standardize mapping practices with logistics partners and regional teams.
- Partner with logistics, supply chain, and IT teams to enhance navigation and tracking.
- Work with customer support to address map-related delivery issues.
Ideal Profile
- Education: Bachelor’s in Logistics, Supply Chain, GIS, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related.
- Experience: 5+ years in logistics and mapping tech management.
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of Maps Platforms and GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS).
- Experience with fleet tracking, telematics, GPS navigation.
