About Us
At hyperexponential, our mission is to help the world take more risk – safely. Our SaaS platform, hx Renew, is transforming the insurance industry by enabling insurers to make better decisions, faster and more confidently than ever before.
In the seven years since our founding, we’ve become the market leader. We work with 40+ customers globally, including a third of the London Market, and we’re only just getting started.
It’s always the best time to join hyperexponential. But the best time? That’s now.
About The FP&A
The FP&A team at hyperexponential plays a pivotal role in shaping our financial strategy, supporting data-informed decisions, and helping drive our scale-up journey as a multi-product SaaS business. We’re a small but high-impact team working closely with our Exec team, and functional leads to bring clarity, rigour, and insight into every part of the business.
We’re building the core financial systems from scratch, without legacy ERP constraints, giving you the rare opportunity to shape how best-in-class SaaS finance should work from day one.
Your Impact
This is a hands-on role with a broad remit, giving you exposure to senior stakeholders across the business and plenty of space to ship high-impact work.
You’ll help build the tools, forecasts, and financial narratives that drive better decision-making at every level of the company.
You’ll help build a next-gen FP&A function designed for scale and automation, leveraging tools like Drivetrain and exploring AI-driven forecasting and process optimisation.
Strategic Forecasting & Financial Modelling
- Own the three-statement rolling forecast model in Drivetrain, shipping version one within your first six months
- Maintain and evolve our SaaS KPI model, used for board reporting and strategic planning
- Lead budgeting and scenario planning processes for headcount, pricing, and margin optimisation
Data Infrastructure & Reporting Automation
- Scope and deliver the next phase of our FP&A data model in partnership with Analytics Engineering
- Build automated dashboards for NRR, CAC payback, cohort gross margin, and customer-level profitability
- Define and maintain KPI definitions and enforce a one-source-of-truth across systems
Business Partnering & Commercial Insight
- Run the monthly close-to-forecast bridge and publish insight decks with clear variance commentary
- Partner with Revenue, Product, and Exec leaders to uncover performance trends, size opportunities, and evaluate investment decisions
- Lead deep-dive analyses on churn drivers, upsell elasticity, and unit economics for new products and features
Execution, Tools & Continuous Improvement
- Lead the rollout of Drivetrain across the finance team and wider business
- Drive continuous improvement sprints to automate reporting, reduce manual work, and streamline FP&A workflows
- Take ownership of core tooling (SQL, Python, Power BI, Snowflake) and justify new tools where needed
What You’ll Bring
- Demonstrated ability to think commercially and deliver insight in FP&A, transaction services, or strategy consulting environments, ideally with exposure to SaaS or recurring revenue models.
- Curiosity about how AI is transforming finance, with interest in applying AI tools to automate insights, forecasting, or reporting workflows.
- Strong hands-on SQL skills; confident in reconciling data to the general ledger
- Comfortable working with and presenting to senior stakeholders; confident producing clear, data-led written narratives
- Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, scaling environments and enjoys working cross-functionally
Nice to Haves
- Experience with Drivetrain or Adaptive Insights
- Working knowledge of Python (pandas) for ad-hoc analysis
- Prior exposure to scaling finance systems and processes in a Series B+ SaaS environment
- Understanding of SaaS metrics: NRR, CAC, LTV, retention curves, and cohort analysis
