My client is looking for an Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to be based inLondon. The successful candidates will be Electrical or Mechanical biased with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance, working with the maintenance team on site.

Locations:

  • Elephant & Castle
  • Peckham
  • Stratford
  • Wimbledon

Key duties depending on experience:

Electrical duties:

  • Lighting lamp changes, ballast changes, simmtronic/Phillips lighting
  • Emergency light testing
  • Power distribution
  • Electrical fault-finding
  • Small works new sockets, new lights, new circuits
  • PAT Testing
  • Control Panel maintenance
  • Transformers
  • Star Delta Starters

Mechanical duties:

  • Fire alarm testing and sprinkler testing
  • AHU\’s/FCU\’s filter changes, belt changes, actuator changes, coil cleans
  • Pumps PPM\’s or strip downs (replacing seals, bearings, valves, overhauls)
  • Motors PPM\’s (re-winds, overhauls)
  • Water treatment dipslides, pH & temperature testing, chlorination, chemical dosing
  • Water pressurization units
  • Chlorifiers annual inspection, descaling
  • Steam Plant
  • Condensers, Condenser Returns
  • Cooling towers
  • Softeners
  • Humidifiers
  • Hydraulics
  • Pneumatics
  • Boilers re-sets
  • Chillers re-sets, 1st Line faults
  • Plumbing (Unblocking toilets, changing taps etc)
  • HIU\’s

Hours of work

  • Temporary to permanent
  • Monday – Friday
  • 08:00am – 17:00pm
  • Up to £24 per hour

Electrical requirements:

  • Electrical qualified level 2&3 (C&G, NVQ etc)
  • 18th Edition
  • Experience working in a bank / commercial Office
  • You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates (Essential)
  • A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
  • Multi-skilled
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent customer skills
  • Must have experience with Cooling Towers

Mechanical requirements:

  • City & Guilds / NVQ in Mechanical
  • You must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates (Essential)
  • A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
  • An understanding of the following is essential: L8 Water treatment, Pumps, Air Handling units
  • Multi-skilled
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent customer skills
  • Must have experience with Cooling Towers
