Job Title: Senior Technical Support Engineer – Cloud
Location: York

Key Functions of Role:
To provide support, management and administration of a broad range of technologies including cloud, virtualisation, security and infrastructure, for customers and corporate personnel.
Duties:
- Provide 2nd line technical support to external customers and on corporate systems
- Perform systems administration and management tasks
- Planning and delivery of technical projects
- Provide mentorship, coaching and training to junior team members
- Ensures KPIs are met in line with SLA
- Maintain qualifications in a core set of IT infrastructure and security products
Responsibilities:
To comply with all company policy, procedures and other instructions as may from time to time be issued including Health, Safety, Environmental, Security and HR documentation.
Skills:
- Minimum 3 years in a 2nd line role
- Broad range of technical knowledge and experience
- Skills and experience should include Virtualisation, Cloud – IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Server technologies, Shared Storage technologies, Networking, Firewalls and Security technologies
- Good understanding of cyber security concepts, technologies and best practice
- No formal qualifications are required but MCSE, MCSA and VCP are desirable
- Desirable technologies – Microsoft Azure administration, O365 suite administration, Veeam Backup and Replication, VMware vSphere, Palo Alto Networks Firewalls, Sophos Central technologies
