About the Role:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and hardworking class 2 HGV delivery driver with an immediate start available. We offer a great working environment, many benefits, and good rates of pay.
The role will have you delivering equipment and materials to our clients sites in preparation for our installations to take place and is very hands-on.
You will use a Company vehicle, and work flexible hours, with a higher delivery demand expected during the summer holidays, to meet the demands of the business.
Skillset
- Previous experience desired as a nationwide deliveries driver
- Experience in driver a van and trailer would be advantageous
- Training for Class 2 would be provided for the right candidate
- Full clean driving licence (2 years minimum)
- Ability to communicate with clients face to face
- Attention to detail and able to work with own initiative to solve challenges
- Take ownership of the materials and vehicle recognising that our client experience is the most important part of our work
- Perform daily vehicle checks
Starting Salary: £13.50 per hour negotiable for the right candidate
Schedule:
- Normal working week – Monday to Friday. Subject to EU/UK domestic driving hours
Responsibilities:
Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to customers in a timely manner- Load and unload products from the vehicle using forklifts, pallet jacks, crane, trail lift and other equipment as needed- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure efficient and on-time deliveries- Verify the accuracy of orders before loading them onto the vehicle- Collect payments from customers and issue receipts as necessary- Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle- Communicate with dispatchers and team members regarding any delays or issues that may arise during deliveries
Requirements:
- – Valid driver\’s license with a clean driving record
- – Previous experience in route driving or delivery preferred
- – Ability to operate automatic transmission vehicles
- – Familiarity with using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
- – Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- – Excellent customer service and communication skills
- – Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required (within H&S Guidelines)
