Applications are invited from capable and experienced Staff Nurses to join our client\’s mixed Acute Medical and Surgical Private Patient ward team at the major Hospital on the beautiful Island of Guernsey, in the Channel Islands.
The private patient ward comprises 19 single rooms and accepts Acute Medical and Surgical patients of all levels, including patients transferred to and from the hospital\’s level 3 intensive care if required.
Please note; Guernsey has adopted the AfC banding system, but has applied its own salary scale.
The current Band 5 salary range is £38,744 to £49,970 plus an annual bonus of £1,605 and higher unsocial hours enhancements; 36% evening/Saturday and 72% Sunday/BH.
Additionally, there is an extra £3,000 bonus payment made on your two and four-year anniversary.
Annual leave starts at 36 days up to 42 days with full credit for NHS service for annual leave and sick leave.
The island of Guernsey is in the Channel Islands and has a population of 65,000. It boasts some of Britain\’s finest and best-kept beaches, an especially mild and sunny climate, and a historic harbor town in St. Peter\’s Port, the island\’s capital.

Person requirements:
- Registered Nurse with full registration with the NMC.
- Minimum of two years post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting.
- Experienced in the care of both Acute Medical and Surgical patients.
