Job Title: Finance Business Partner
Location: Hybrid / Glasgow (3 days/week on site)
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Daily Rate: £318-452day (Umbrella – Maximum)
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Job Purpose
To provide professional financial support to business leaders, delivering accurate financial analysis, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role supports decision-making and contributes to business performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide financial support and analysis to business units.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and period-end reporting.
- Prepare accruals, adjustments, and validate accounts.
- Ensure compliance with financial governance and controls.
- Conduct financial analysis and identify risks and opportunities.
- Support investment appraisals and cost modelling.
- Engage with senior stakeholders to influence financial decisions.
- Deliver accurate business review information and reporting.
- Build detailed plans to support business planning and budgeting.
- Identify and manage commercial risks.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Part-qualified or working towards a professional accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA).
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
- Good understanding of financial control and risk.
- Effective communication and influencing skills.
- Experience in financial planning and reporting.
- Ability to interpret technical accounting regulations into everyday language.
- Demonstrable stakeholder management and partnering experience.
Desirable
- Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ICAEW).
- Experience in complex financial environments.
- Understanding of project management principles.
- Degree or equivalent in finance, accounting, or business management.
- Experience with Oracle-based systems and Power BI.
