About the role:
Horizon Teachers are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a thriving and supportive school community in Luton. This rewarding role offers the chance to work 1:1 and with small groups of pupils across KS2- KS4, who need tailored, nurturing support to help them flourish.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Provide general classroom support across Key Stages.
- Deliver focused 1:1 and small group intervention for pupils with ASC and complex needs
- Work alongside experienced teachers to plan engaging, inclusive lessons
- Help build a safe, calm, and positive classroom environment
- Encourage progress in communication, independence, and emotional regulation
What you\’ll need:
- Experience supporting children in a school or SEN setting (essential)
- A natural passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning
- Understanding of ASD, ADHD, communication difficulties, complex learning needs, and SEMH.
